Baby Name Match Finder ("we", "our", "the app") is a free, ad-supported name-matching tool for expectant couples. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how we handle it. We keep this simple.

We do not collect payment information, precise (GPS) location, contacts, or any special-category personal data. We do not sell your personal data.

2. How We Use Your Data

Swipe votes and matches, stored and synced between you and your partner so the app works. Votes are tied to your random room code, not to your identity.
Email address, used for account sign-in and password resets. We only send product-update emails if you explicitly opt in during registration, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Location and device data, used only for aggregate, anonymous analytics (e.g. "60% of rooms are created on mobile"). We do not use it for targeted advertising and we do not sell it.
Aggregate name analytics, we track which names are popular across all users in aggregate only. No individual user's votes are shared or exposed.

3. Google and Apple Sign-In

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and (where provided) profile picture from that provider. We never receive your password or payment information. Your use of those services is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Advertising and Cookies

Baby Name Match Finder is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained until you delete your account. Anonymous analytics data (sessions, aggregated swipe counts) may be retained for product analysis. You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us.

Deletion of your account and personal data

7. Third-Party Services

Google AdSense, advertising. See Google Privacy Policy.
Cloudflare, hosting, content delivery, and approximate geolocation (derived from your IP at the network edge). See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
Resend, delivery of account emails (password resets, opt-in updates).
Google OAuth / Apple Sign-In, optional sign-in providers.

8. Security

Passwords are hashed using PBKDF2 (via the Web Crypto API) and are never stored in plaintext. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Room codes are randomly generated and unguessable. We do not store payment data.

9. Children

Baby Name Match Finder is intended for adults (expectant parents). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
